Teenagers and young adults work within the city addressing the issue of knife and violent crime to reach their peers. The project works with multi-agency partners such as West Yorkshire Police, Leeds City Council and other third sector organisations.
We focus on social and emotional health and wellbeing through exploring teenagers’ cultural, individual and community identity with such projects as ‘Hues beautiful’ which was an exhibition that explored the aspiration of meeting the Eurocentric view of beauty whilst harming themselves to achieve this e.g. using skin bleaching cream.
Young adults and teenagers are trained to mentor their peers.
A Mental Health and Wellbeing programme for young people who are usually excluded from support as they are deemed to be exceling in their higher and further education but often struggling with stress/depression.
